Kelly Nash was raised in Davie Florida, which is situated just outside Fort Lauderdale. Kelly Nash was raised boating and fishing with her father Ed Nash. Kaitlyn Nash and Carolyn Nash are her two sisters. Kelly Nash is of English, Irish, Swedish, and Portuguese Ethnic group. Her grandfather was born in Portugal and later immigrated to the United States.



 Kelly Nash loved the Miami Marlins from a young age. Although she was a sports enthusiast from a young age, she always wanted to be an anchor for a newscast. Kelly Nash received a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina in 2006. After that, she completed her studies at Clemson with a master's degree in Youth Development Leadership in 2009. In exchange for covering the Sports Information Department's teams of Soccer and Baseball she was awarded an all-sports scholarship from the Clemson Athletic Department.



 Kelly Nash, a MLB Network studio host, has appeared on multiple shows which include Quick Pitch, the nightly highlights program. She also serves as an NHL Network Studio host, being featured on the Nightly Game recap Show, On The Fly. In March 2015 she joined the MLB Network. She also began contributing to the NHL Network in 2015. This was when the NHL Network's everyday operations were run from the MLB Network headquarters.
